You know we love each of you and we are only a phone call away. We think of Alan daily and we know he is in a better place and waiting to be reunited with us there. We are blessed that all of you came into our lives and will remain a strong extended family as long as you'll have us.

I just heard the news of Alan's death today. (Sunday) Please accept my sincerest sympathy. I know that this has been a long, difficult journey for your family. I will keep you in my prayers. I know how it is to loose someone you truely love but not a father. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm praying for you and also my school. Remember that God is with you every second of your life. Only once and a while does God place an angel on our earth. Alan was one of those angels. We both remarked often about his courage, kindness and quiet patience. We don't know if we will ever incounter someone like Alan again but we are thankful that we knew and admired him. We will miss him dearly. Our prayers and thoughts are with you today and always.
