Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Mol,

When we last spoke you referred me to some churches in my area. It was so good to hear from you. I looked up to you and Bro. Al both. Bro.Al was such an inspiration my heart still aches to this day I cant seem to understand the reasion why Bro Al was taken too soon but what a glorious day it will be when we meet Bro. Al in that sky again. I wil lbe back MI to see everyone. Tell them I said hello...

Dear Debbie:
We want you to know that we are continuing to pray for you during this adjustment in your life. I can't even imagine how hard it is to lose someone you love so much. We are so glad to have known Brother Al. He was such a good friend to me and especially to Bob. Bob still refers to him as one of his best friend from Heritage and uses him for examples in some of his messages. I had fun times working with him at Heritage. We both have many wonderful memories (Remember when...

I remember Al when I was just a little girl. He was a friend of my dads family. One time we were all at my grandparents house eating dinner outside and I was eating next to Al. I was using a butter knife upside down and he showed me the right way to use it. Then I would use it the wrong way on purpose just to get him to correct me. It was pretty funny. You could always have a good time with Al no matter how old or how young you were.

Al was a great man who loved his heavenly...

HI DEB
JUST WANTED TO PUT A FEW MORE LINES TOGETHER AND TELL YOU THAT JIM AND I ENJOYED COMEING TO YOUR PLACE AND HAVE GREAT FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER WITH YOU AND AL AND THE TIMES WE PLAYED PHASE TEN WITH YOU WE HAVE PEOPLE PRAYING FOR YOU AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR MAY THE CHRIST OF CHRISTMAS SURROUND YOU THIS YEAR WE LOVE YOU JIM AND BONNIE

It was difficult to hear the news of Al's death and attend his funeral which brought tears to my eyes frequently. When his friends and relatives shared humorous memories of Al, I laughed as I remembered his zest for hockey, fire, explosions, and living life to the fullest.
I'm glad I was able to get together with him this year as he showed me his church and his office. He introduced me to his pastor and told me about his mission trips and his ministry with the youth and the...

Al was an example and inspiration to me as a teenager even when I didn't realize it. I only learned recently that he and my uncle (they were both my youth leaders) would stand outside my bedroom window and pray for me. I so appreciate how positive about life he seemed to be. I have many memories of laughing till tears came, sometimes with Al, other times at Al, but everytime he would be laughing too. He leaves behind a legacy of love for people and love for God that I will never forget and...

Al was a hysterically funny youth leader who became a friend. Above all my memories with "Brother Al" I will always remember 3 things. First, our mutual love for hockey which translated into stick hockey in my parents basement. Second, our love for wrestling and his "cauliflower ear". Finally, a lesson he taught our youth group on "Counterfeiting". He brought in a counterfeit dollar bill and asked us if we could figure out if it was real of fake. He then taught us the only way to identify...

Deb,

It will be forever linked in my mind that you said goodbye to Al just days after we said goodbye to my dad. And, for me, the irony of how much they were alike is uncanny. Like my dad (a Baptist preacher, BTW), Al could and did talk to everybody, because he loved everybody. He didn't want anyone to leave this earth without having heard about the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus extends to anyone who wants it.

I recall Al seeing a guy in our church parking lot who was...

Deb,
The delay in posting this was not caused by mis-information or business, but, more by the embarassment of not knowing what in the world to say. Like many others i really don't remember when or where i met al, just that i did. And at that point in my life that was a really good thing. I can't begin to imagine the pain you're in right now, but i know that God is there with you. Although I've not seen you guys in quite a while, these last weeks my heart has been truly saddened by the...
