Not sure what to say?

I knew he and mary when he and I were medical students at bristol,Many years ago we enjoyed their hospitality in seattle.I am much saddened by his recent death. Our condolences to Mary and family.I will try and contact mary via S.Y.C.

Such a lovely man. I will miss him very much. So glad we got to see him holding court when we came over. Sending lots of love xx

In addition to all his other gifts and talents, Alan was a tremendous music lover and supporter of the arts, and his very strong opinions about performers and concerts were always fascinating to hear. He knew what he was talking about, too! Alan and Mary were beloved figures together on the concert scene, always supportive and full of ideas for the future. Alan took great pride in Mary's literary achievements; they made a wonderful couple. The lights in our arts community have been dimmed...

Mary, we are so saddened to hear of Alan's passing. He was such an an inspiring man; we always loved hearing him talk - well, about pretty much anything. You two complemented each other so well.

We are sorry we can't join in Alan's Memorial Service and Celebration of Life. We just returned from 3 weeks in southeast Asia and are on house quarantine for two weeks. Only one week has passed though it feels like much more than that.

Please know that we will be with you in...

I worked with Alan for years at Northwest Hospital. He was always helpful, gentle and wise, and a great mentor. Thanks Alan.

Alan was such a special person who lighted up every room he entered. I knew him as a map collector of maps of Pembrokeshire in Wales at a time when I owned an art gallery in Seattle selling vintage maps. My condolences to his lovely wife Mary, a writer in her own rights, and his family.

Alan was a favorite Rompers Golf Club member and great fun to share a game with.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and Mary today and always.
