Alan "Mike" Plaisted

Every day I am reminded of the way Alan would say to me, no matter what you do or say always be kind.

Mike was a caring, thoughtful and great President of the Society of Vacuum Coaters. He will be long remembered by Vivienne Harwood Mattox and Don Mattox of Management Plus - the management company for SVC back in "the day" that Mike was a tour de force of SVC. We offer our condolences to many of the family members that we knew so well.

A man I will never forget. How fortunate I was to speak with him recently. We shared a few laughs and I know he smiled. That meant the world to me.
We take comfort in our memories and in loving his surviving family, for without him would not be possible. Our sympathies for a great loss. He definitely will be missed. My last big hug.

I can only hope that I can pass on as much kindness this man hand to give. He taught me that with these simple concepts anything is possible. Respect, kindness, + honesty. I will always carry love in my heart for Mike and you will be missed drastically!
