Not sure what to say?

He was mesmerizing as Jamie in Truly Madly Deeply. It was proof that he could play leading man roles. I fell deeply in love with him as Colonel Brandon. Alan was also romantic in real life and married his wife Rima in 2012 after spending decades together. He was the real deal and yet still remained humble. He is missed as a human being as well as one of the greatest actors ever. We still treasure him and his memory is a blessing.

Just the best actor with the most beautiful voice. My favorite roles are Rasputin, Robin Hood, Galaxy Quest and Sense and Sensibility. He also showed emotional depth in Love Actually although he was most attractive as Colonel Brandon. My favorite scenes as Colonel Brandon were the look on his face when Marianne thanks him and when he says to Elinor your sister looks very happy (with Willoughby). Also, his decision to help Edward because he is such great friends with the Dashwoods. That is...

He was so sensitive as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility. The scene where he is reading to Marianne was so amazing. Also, when he asks Elinor for something to do, took my breath away. He made me want to learn more about acting. I will always remember him with respect and appreciation for his character and his work ethic. RIP Alan.

I loved him as Snape in the Harry Potter movies. His acting skills were outstanding. I met him once and he was so gracious and kind, he always appreciated the attention and fame he received. He will truly be missed in the acting community.

He was so amazing in Sense and Sensibility, I never understood why people preferred Willoughby over him. I will always remember him as my favorite period drama actor. He was also incredible in Truly, Deeply, Madly. He had the most beautiful voice in all of acting, I agree with Kate Winslet when she said that she went weak at the knees when she met Alan Rickman. He was the most talented and humble actor in Hollywood.

I really admire that he remained so down to earth despite being so famous and successful. He was constantly taking on challenging roles that made him stretch. He was one of the greatest actors and will be remembered for his dedication to his work.

He was incredible in Rasputin, he deserved to win the Golden Globe. He was so amazing in the Harry Potter movies . He is deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The best actor of all time, he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. I send my belated deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Rest in peace Alan, you are appreciated and respected.

My favorite actor of all time, he was the consummate bad guy in Die Hard and leading man in Sense and Sensibility. I will always remember his generosity and kindness to his fellow actors and fans. I was lucky enough to have met him and he was so humble and down to earth. I will never forget him and that mellifluous voice. Rest in peace Alan
