Met him thru his younger brother Fred. Met Alan's parents who knew my parents from Flushing N.Y. If I recall, his father was an attorney as well. All 3 sons went to the same secondary school in Manhattan. I remember how Alan was soft spoken when he told my about Fred's passing.
