Not sure what to say?

Hi, I was just going through some old Eisenhower stuff I had packed away when we moved from Hales Corners about 6 yrs ago. There, low and behold, was a tshirt designed by Coach Sauer - LITE IKE. It was to commemorate the first under the lights football game way back in1988. What a great memory. Thanks, Al. Your former Athletic Director Mike Wilson

Mr. Sauer was my tennis coach but more importantly my art teacher at Eisenhower. I think I took every single class he taught and he was a major inspiration for my career in design. It´s been 30+ years since I took one of his classes and it´s been nearly that long since I´ve worked with stained glass. I just started my first project since the early 90´s and was thinking back on some of the projects I worked on in his classes when I decided to Google him. I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. My...

I played on Mr. Sauer's tennis team. When I had an opportunity to coach my own tennis team he was kind enough to create the design for the t-shirts. He was a fantastic coach, a great teacher, and an all around wonderful person.

Alan and I were 1955 Port Washington High School senior classmates. Alan was a scholar, artist, scientist and a gentleman. We ran for senior class officer positions and won. It is a privilege to have known Alan and to have had him s a friend.

I worked with Al from 1981 to 2005 as the Athletic Director. Al was our Tennis Coach. He also made the Conference Championship signs for our cafeteria/sports entrance way. He was extremely good at what he did. I sure did enjoy working with him. Sincerely, Mike Wilson

May his soul rest in peace. Alan was my first cousin and son of my Godmother. He also was a talented artist. I have a beautiful vase that he made. It was a wedding gift in 1976 from Alan's brother Robert and his wife Alice. My condolences to the family.

I worked with Al for many years at Eisenhower High School, I was Dept. Coordinator Secretary. So sad to hear of Al's passing. I hope to hear of his Memorial Service.
