No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need & remember,

Alan was a wonderful colleague over my 30 years of practice . He did so much good during his long life in medicine . His kindness , gentleness and sense of humor helped give our mutual cancer stricken patients comfort and courage. And he loved art and worked very hard to create his own . Would that his wife , children, and grandchildren could have had him with them for a longer period of time , but there is much to celebrate about his life .

Dr. Stark cared for my mother in the final weeks of her life when she was referred to him by her oncologist for palliative radiation treatments in 1986. While my mother's time in his care was brief, he put her at ease, treated her with dignity and respect, and gave her comfort and hope that he could help her during that time. I never forgot Dr. Stark or his excellent care and kindness. Humanity has lost an excellent physician and clearly a very good man. I am so very sorry for your loss....
