Not sure what to say?

I also had Mr. Stiers as a teacher at both Adams Elementary and Kennedy High School. He was like no other. He had a quiet and calm presence that also exuded strength. He was a wonderful person, one of the greats. My most cherished memory of him was dancing with him at my wedding. I feel blessed to have known him. My condolences to all his family and friends.

To the family of Coach Stiers,
He was one of my favorite coaches and teachers at Kennedy when I was there (Class of 88). I did manage to stop a few years after graduation and say hi to him. He will be missed and made my time at Kennedy more fun and I learned real quick to be quiet unless I wanted to run more laps :) Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Stiers was my kindergarten gym teacher at good old Adams Elementary. I most definitely had a little school girl crush on him. I would purposely untie my shoes, just so i could run up to him and say "Mr. Stiers , my shoes are untied. Could you tie them for me please?" I have told that story to many of my friends over the years . The great teachers always stay with you . RIP Mr. Stiers Kelly Hover-Heinemann

There are so many memories of Coach Stiers for me. What is most memorable is that he believed in you as a student and an athlete. I recall after high school he volunteered as a judge several time last at the university of Iowa so he could continue to support me. I’m always going to remember MY COACH!!! And those words that could be as I ran, “Go Cougar” . Thank you coach for always supporting me and believing in me! Thank you!!!!!!
