Dear Brenda,

Although we did not meet many times, I felt like Alan was a long time friend. I got to know him better shopping for my computer and am happy I had that time with him. He was a great tour guide and a super wonderful person.

I hope you are coping and my prayers are with you.

Love,

Ashok

Brenda,
Jim and I attended the funeral service today. We were both touched by the wonderful memorial to Alan. I saw you smile in the midst of your sorrow. Our hearts go out to you and your children and grandchild in your time of grief. We pray that God will give you strength "above and beyond" to get through the sadness of losing such a wonderful life partner. Jim and I lived at 3744 N. Pine Grove when we were newlyweds right around the corner.

Alan and Brenda allowed me to be at their house for several weeks on my arrival to this country. I am grateful to their hospitality and trust. I remember Alan as a serene, nice man with the confidence of a person who has reached his dreams of a lifetime.

Mrs. Sumberg,
I was Alan's woodworking teacher @ Palatine H.S adult ed classes & I was the one who gave him the info to join Chicago Woodturners. I just saw him in either October or November woodturners meeting & he was telling me of his shop he had set up at your new home, he was really looking forward to using it. I will miss his razor sharp wit and great sense of humor. I am sorry to read about your loss of this wonderful person. Has anyone contacted his F.A.A. buddy & fellow...
