Alan Daniel TAUMATA

Sad to hear the news of Alan’s passing. My condolences to the family. I got to know Alan when working at the Evening Post with Ramon over 40 years ago and spent many happy times staying at the lodge with them both. Such wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make me feel at home during my stay. I loved hearing about Alan’s stories and experiences, we had so many laughs. Kakahi is such a peaceful, lovely place and although I haven’t been up there for some time I will miss calling...

We are very sorry we were unable to attend his service today.

Alan and Frank were colleagues and friends at Databank Systems, Wellington, in the 1980s. We kept in touch and in December 1999, Alan officiated at the wedding of Wynne and Frank in Karori.
Alan will always be remembered with Te aroha me te whakaute.
