Not sure what to say?

I had just arrived to my new school in RAF LakenHeath, Alan was one year ahead of me, a senior, I a junior. He helped me adjust to the new school. Even in my young years I knew he was special and would go on to do great things. My best memories of LakenHeath were of the rest of that year spending time with Alan, his brother and the friends he introduced me to. Going back for my senior year I missed him as he went on to the Academy to become a pilot. I saw him and his brother one last time...

Alan, Jon and I went to middle school together in Germany. I was close to Alan. He always teased me. He signed my year book, "a really cool girl I´ll always remember and love. ". What a great friend. Rest In Peace

Dear Mr. Vander Pyl,

I am saddened to hear the loss of another USNA, TBS classmate and fellow Marine. Though I last saw Dutch 21 years ago, the memories of the fun he shared with us are vivid still and endure. You are all in our prayers.

Dear Dutch,
I wish we could express words that would adequstely comfort you in your loss of your son. I only remember him as a child when we were stationed at Myrtle together, but after reading his obituary I realize what a strong and loving person he must have been. I'm sure you have developed a towering love for him. May God wecome Alan into His kingdom and bestow many blessings upon you and his family. Peace be with you my friend.
