Alan "Tot" Leyseth Vines

Alan Leyseth Vines, 79, of Lake Charles, died at his residence on Monday June 29, 2015 following an extended illness.

Alan was a native of Converse, LA and a graduate of Converse High School. He was also a graduate of North East Louisiana State College (1959) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. He practiced pharmacy for over fifty years and lived in Lake Charles since 1979.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Garland and Annie Vines; brothers, Gilbert and Billy Vines; and wife, Martha Sue Brown Vines. He is survived by his son, Alan Dean Vines and wife Lori, Nashville, TN; daughters, Suzanne Vines McMillian, Shreveport, LA and Rebecca Vines Tanner and husband Tim, Tyler, TX; stepchildren, Mike Greene and wife Sonya, Dry Creek, Laurie Greene Fisher, Lake Charles; Chris Greene and wife Linda, Dry Creek, and Suzonna Greene Dillon and husband David, Covington; twenty one grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; and a host extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday July 2, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Friday July 3 from 10:00 AM until the time of service of 11:00 AM. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate services. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
