Not sure what to say?

Those of us who grew up listening to Alan's artistry were always amazed by his talent, taste, and ability. I am certain I speak for my generation - who might at some point have hoped to consider themselves as his colleagues (but never peers) - found him to be a constant source of inspiration. A rich life richly lived. His legacy will live on among all of us he has inspired. Our heartfelt thanks for your music and your example. God bless - and keep on rockin'!

My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted fans of Mr. Alan White. Mr. Alan White was the legendary drummer for the classic progressive rock band Yes. He played on many hit songs by Yes including "Owner of a Lonely Heart." He was greatly admired by his fellow artists and all those who knew him. I can't think of anything to say. I loved YES. He was really good for that band. I hitch hiked and saw them two nights in a row, Birmingham and Atlanta. I've spent a lot of time listening to music he plays in. Rest in Peace.

I am a pro drummer and a massive fan of Yes and Alan White. I saw Alan with Yes many, many times and he was a great influence on me and my playing. Sadly I never met him, I didn’t need to, he was my hero! He attacked his Ludwig kit like an animal, an amazing drummer. I saw him in Nottingham on the last tour when he was suffering with his back and it made me cry. Yes, he was such a hero to me.
I was so shocked and upset to hear of his death. My condolences go to his family.
