Not sure what to say?

Remembering Alana ten years after her death. She was a good friend and colleague at the Univ of San Diego for many years.

I will rember Alana forever

You gave me the reason to be an archaeologist. You helped me understand that college didn't have to be as heavy as i thought it would be. You were my hero in school and a real inspiration in class. Thank you. Thank you for everything.

We send hugs and a big aloha, Arian, at the loss of your mom. We last heard from your mom around Christmas 2014. Do you remember coming to visit us in Kailua with Grandma when you were young? We do. It would be great to see you again. Again, aloha and sadness at the passing of your mom.

I will miss you Alana Cordy-Collins and your gracious way of teaching and bringing students into the fold. You made my life so much richer by your presence and your kind emails in later years. Heartfelt condolences to your family, friends and students. Virginia Kim

Mortar Board was proud to claim Alana as a member. On behalf of the National Council and Board of Trustees, I offer deep sympathy and the most sincere regard for the way that she lived Mortar Board's Ideals every day.

What heartbreaking news to receive. She was a professor of mine at USD and by far my favorite. She had such a passion for anthropology and and archaeology and it was felt and seen in her classes. You will be greatly missed.

I met Alana while out on a walk. She never mentioned Cancer. I am a 20 year survivor. I loved her works and told her so. She modestly commented that anyone could do it. I told her my grand kids would love her garden and she generously said, Please bring them over". Thank you Alana, friend, neighbor, fellow Artist!
I will be missing you! Yolanda

Alana will always be the girl who spent her first paycheque on fake leopard skin upholstery for her 1936 Chevy roadster. Memories from wonderful days and imbibing nights in Stromness, Orkney with two Australian travellers in 2013.
