MAYVILLE- Alaric Aizun Klinger, 46, of Mayville, NY, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 24, 1979, in Jamestown, NY, the son of Cynthia Stewart and David Keith Klinger.
He had attended Mayville Central School and earned an associate’s degree in art from Jamestown Community College. Alaric proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a tattoo artist, having started his shop in Mayville in 2005 and then moving it to Jamestown in 2016.
Alaric enjoyed fishing, nature walks, sky diving, lounging at the Barcelona Moose Beach, walking in the Chautauqua Gorge, and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by the loving mother of his children, Corey Klinger of Mayville; his three children, Hailey, Emma, and Benjamin Klinger, and one stepson, Rowan Lundsten, all of Mayville; and his beloved partner, Marisa Redard Lundsten, also of Mayville his parents, Cynthia Stewart of Celeron, NY, and David Keith Klinger of Sherman, NY, seven siblings, Tonya (Ed) Lynch of Jamestown, NY, Alisha Klinger of Mayville, NY, William Kraemer of Jamestown, NY, Ryan (Molly) Marsh of Portland, NY, Jordan Marsh of Portland, NY, Michael Marsh of Celeron, NY and Skye Marsh of Portland, Oregon, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and one niece he was particularly close with, Breanna Smith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lynch.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
