Elizabeth,
I'm sorry to hear about your father's passing. I don't know if you will remember me, but our fathers worked together - Earl Silberman. I am Earl's daughter, Anita. I know we visited you and your parents when we were kids. A friend of mine, Donna Bowman, told me your dad was in Wesley Glen a few years ago. My dad is in Outlook Manor in Westerville, Ohio. He has dementia with an overlay of Alzheimer's and has been there seven and a half years now. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Judge Whiteside's passing. I had the honor of serving as his judicial clerk many years ago and will always remember his intelligence and guidance.

I am so sorry, Elizabeth and Alan, and the entire Whiteside/Ayres/Schultz family, for the loss of Alba. I admired him so much, and he did so much for my husband and I, after my husband's accident, in 1986. I very much loved him, as did you all.

Dear Elizabeth,
I was so appreciative when your dad agreed to be our sponsor of a Phi Delta Phi chapter at Capital Universiity Law School. As a charter member of the "Whiteside Inn", we enjoyed the opportunity to learn from him during our studies and after graduation. You and your family are in our prayers.

Dear Elizabeth, My best memories of your Dad are the countless kindnesses that he and your mom showed me. I especially remember the trip to Dearborn shortly after my mom passed away. His caring was so genuine and always welcome. Please know your sorrow is shared and that you are in our thoughts.

Dear Elizabeth and family,

So sorry to hear of your father's death. My Aunt Grace thought so highly of him and your family. We express our sympathy to your family. It's so ironic that Alba died just a few days after my Aunt Grace Shields died. She died on October 4th and her funeral was held on October 11th.She was 98 years old.

To the Whiteside Family. Alba and my brother Al Hawk were in the same graduating class from Chillicothe High School. (I see that both of their mothers were named Lucille.) I can remember how everyone was so impressed with Alba's great intelligence. Our paths crossed when I was a candidate for Franklin County Commissioner in 1980 and I then would see him at Republican gatherings after that. Such a nice man. Did not realize he had been at Wesley Glen. So sorry to hear of his passing. Will send my brother the information and please know that you have my deepest sympathy.

I had the pleasure of working with Judge Whiteside in the Court of Appeals, and found him to be as caring as he was intelligent. My prayers go out to his family.
