DR. ALBERT C. ANTOINE

While I am saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Antoine, numerous memories of his easy going manner,huge warm smiles, and wonderful words of wisdom,flood my thoughts. It was an honor to have known Dr Albert Antoine, his wife June Antoine, and their children. I am forever grateful for the friendship of their daughter, Dr Janice A. Lumpkin (and husband, Carl). May God Bless and Comfort the family.

I have known Dr. Antoine and his wife June all of my life because we were both members at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights, Ohio. They were a delightful couple and balanced each other perfectly. My favorite memory of them was a couple of years ago, I was attending Cleveland's Anisfield-Wolf Awards (as a librarian) and there were the Antoines. I marveled as I watched them as they "held court" and everyone came over to pay their respects. They knew librarians, politicians, the movers and...
