Not sure what to say?

I miss you so much, Bert. A lot has changed since you left us. I hope you and Barbara are at peace and that you´re making her laugh up there.

Unbelievable that 11 years have passed since you left for your heavenly home! You are missed for many reasons among which your fabulous smile, great sense of humor and your exquisite sense of entertaining guests. Bet Barbara is happily reunited with you all these years. Love you both.

To this very day I speak of you, and Barbara often. I cannot forget the memorable great times we've had. I now have a nice friendship with your favorite nephew, Jeff Avellar. I think this should make you happy.

Was on a business trip to Japan in the 80s...spend a couple of weeks with busy schedule, was a wonderful break when Bert and Barbara had me over for dinner at their Akasaka townhouse. Great hosts.

Dear Bert, I so miss you! A warm friendship will never vanish. Just 18 month after Dick, (my husband), passed away you followed. After all these years I recently I went to see your house. The front yard looks well kept which gave me good feelings. Memories brought tears to my eyes. Love you for being a wonderful friend and encourager.

It's hard to fathom that we lost you 9 years ago! Where are the years flying to. You are thought of and spoken of often with great fondness. You and Barbara are so missed. Peter (my husband) died last September 4th, 2019. Please say hello to him from me and our two sons Chris & Alex. All my love to you, Barbara and Peter.

I miss you to this day, and speak of you, and Barb often. The
wonderful years of being together will never be forgotten. They were supreme times in our lives.
Love you Bert, and Barbara

Lieber Bert!
Ruhe in Frieden!

I first met Bert when I was working at St. Pius X as Administrator a few years ago. What a kind and sweet man. I looked forward to seeing him at Mass on Saturday evenings and exchanging hugs. I've been missing him at Saturday evening Mass for quite some time. Due to my travel schedule, I wasn't sure if it was just coincidence that I was missing him on the Saturdays that I've been there recently. Knowing how dear he was to me and others, I can only imagine how much his family misses him. ...
