Not sure what to say?

July 31, 2011: The date is late, and the memories of Al are old. I am Patsy's first cousin, and I remember Al fondly back to WWII when he was a Marine pilot, and I was a lowly Apprentice Seaman. He and Patsy and the family visited my family in Bear Creek, Pennsylvania, in 1958, and that's the last I remember seeing him until until my brother, Ray's funeral in Benson, Ill. All our prayers are with Al, and with his loved ones, Patsy and JoAnne with whom he is now united. God bless you, Al

Chuck, Patrick, Buff, Moira, and Rick:

We "hillbilly" Belangers valued our time with Al - as Kathy notes he always made special efforts to join in our family gatherings.

He once even attended one of my musical gigs in Santa Cruz in the early '70s.

We are all grateful for the time he was able to share with us - he will be missed.

My sincere sympathy to AL's family at this most difficult time. Knew Al for 50 years and saw him at the St.Philip Alumni dinner in late April. Jack Brennan--St. Phil. Alum. Assoc.

Dear Cousins, What a great send-off Uncle Al had with the celebration of his 90th birthday! Bob and I so wanted to be there, and are so grateful that Uncle Al's life was celebrated with him in the midst of it all. Uncle Al is such a wonderful part of our family history and always demonstrated the value he placed on family by making extraordinary efforts to be present at important events in our lives. So many fond memories ... our love to all of you! Kathy and Bob McLaughlin

Buffy - So Sorry to hear about Al's death...he was always one of Marion's dearest friends, we will all miss his wonderful laughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love Mugs and Marion McCready
