Not sure what to say?

In our later years, the memories of childhood become more clear. I'm very sorry I never knew Al, but every brother in Christ is near and dear. I recall watching my father on Sunday evenings writing letters to family. I never knew how he was related to his family in White Cloud. I knew a few names. There was an uncle Tip who once had dairy cows, but went to raising cattle and then Christmas trees in later years. But BIrd, as I recall, was the unusual first name of an uncle. There was a...

One of my greatest honors was taking care of Albert bird. He was a God-fearing man compassionate loving and oh so sweet. He would do anything for anybody. The people that surrounded him his daughter Deb Billings in Linda Gould made his life so special. I miss Albert.

Love you Gramps. So many cherished memories from my childhood at the shop, the lake, yard saleswe had many fun times with you and grandma both. You will be greatly missed and the memories held close forever. To my dad, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins I love you all and wish I could be at the service in person, but I am glad I can see it online. Rest easy grandpa and enjoy your reunion with grandma and all the other loved ones lost! Love you and see you again some day.

I only meet William a couple of times when his daughters brought him to our VFW meetings. I could tell from those brief meetings the type of honorable man he was. He raised 2 wonderful daughters who took the time to bring their father to the meetings. I pass on my condolences to the whole Bird family.

A full life lived!

You were a wonderful teacher, Bill! I so loved learning from you! Thank you! As a retired US Army guy, I am in awe and so appreciate that you were willing to stand in the gap as a Marine during the Korean War in that country (a place where I served years later in the Army). You arrived there on a troop ship (one with at least 10-high bunks) with the transportation you needed -- your feet! Well done, Marine! I look forward to seeing you again when I join you at the feet of the One True Teacher...

Prayers of peace and comfort to you at this difficult time. What a full life your father lived, and a beautiful tribute to his memory.

I´m going to miss you so much GG. You always had a story to tell about your life. My favorite was the stories of mom (Linda Gould) growing up and about the shop in White Cloud. Our family was lucky enough to own that shop for 10 years. My fondest childhood memories are at that shop and being so close to your home , if there was a slow day we would head over and swim, bird watch, play games inside and if we were lucky enough , spot a bobcat or a black bear in your yard through a safe distance ...
