Not sure what to say?

I just want to stop and take this time to say thank you all for your condolences. This has been a very difficult time for myself and my brothers. We are all truly grateful to have had such wonderful loving parents. Many of you may not have known but mom had passed away Mar. 29, 2010. After she passed dad had a hard time without her around but he still lived his life to the fullest. Now that both of our parents have passed it's been very difficult just to accept the fact that they are no...

I worked with Mr Bolton in the early 80s at Ch 12.. He was the epitome of a true Southern Gentleman... He will be missed... xoxo

I was one of the fortunate people to know Al and Sandy. We all spent many hours on the lake with our group which we called the "Kahunas". Trips to Galveston with the gang, dances at the Elk;s Club, train trip to LSU football game…..all so much fun back then. Having lived in Housont, for many years, I lost touch with the family and this I regret. I met all three of the children when they were just little ones. I had not heard of Sandy's passing. I was at that wedding all those years ago. ...

Ryan and family, may God be with you during this difficult time.

To the children of Mr. Bolton:

Your father was always one of the special joys of our Friday meetings of the Optimist Club of Shreveport. I was honored and felt privileged to bestow upon him the credentials of Lifetime Member of Optimist International. Your mother, Sandy, attended the Optimist Club Christmas party in my home, the year I was president of the club. They brought me a singing Santa Claus, which I will cherish forever.

I admired Mr. Bolton so greatly that when a DJ...

As a young child he was "The Voice" of the news. He had so much pride,a distinguished prescence, as a news anchor, he delivered hard hitting news, w/ poise, but during lighter moments, some story or another news anchor, would get him tickled and his laugh was so infectious. He was so trusted as an anchor, because he was a straight shooter, never heard anything negative about him. He was a consement GENTLEMAN! I saw Mr. Bolton out in public places and he was always polite. He had a quiet soft...

we will all miss you. we watched you every night on the news.

I remember Al's Corral as a kid and as a black kid in the South, Al was my hero. I met him in about 2003 and thanked him. I received an autograph picture in the mail.

Mr. Bolton was a part of Shreveport history and was a part of television history. One of the greats for local history has been lost. My prayers go to his family and to the people of the
Ark-la-tex he felt like family everyday coming to our living room from the box front and center.
