I just leaned of Pete's passing and I want to pass on my sympathy to all of the family. I worked with Pete at PPL and I never met a nicer man. We had many talks about high school sports, and life in general. I'll miss you Pete. I hope your behind the plate right now.

My condolences to Pete's family. Pete and I go way back to Linglestown Twilight baseball and lifting weights in his garage. We have run into Pete in the past couple of years at high school baseball games and my son was able to get to know him while catching with Pete behind the plate and then while he was a spectator at Lower Dauphin High School games. I still tell the story that while umping a couple of years ago, Pete told my son "Ok, I'm going to try getting down on one knee", then...

Pete I'm thankful for all the years we spent together working on the poles and then spending time together through the church. Regina my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss.

Very sad to see this. Pete was one of the VERY BEST baseball umpires we ever encountered during the years I was involved in West Shore Twilight League and many East & West Shore tournaments that used to be held in central PA. He will always be missed. George Achenbach, Duncannon, PA
