Albert A. Calisti, 76, of Greensburg, formerly of Export, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Export, a son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Chippolini Calisti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, Victor, Kenneth and Lewis Calisti; and a sister, Helen Calisti. Prior to his retirement, he was a talk show host and owner of WBCW Radio, Jeannette. A veteran of World War II, Albert completed a tour of 35 missions in the European Theater with the 8th U.S. Army Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Verna Moose Calisti; and four children, John T. Calisti and wife, Linda Jean Calisti, of Jeannette, Sydney Buxton and husband, James H. Buxton III, of Greensburg, Robert R. Calisti and wife, Nancy Calisti, and their children, of Connellsville and Jacqueline R. Calisti and friend, Charles R. Runzo, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Jamie Buxton, Rebecca L. Calisti, Jennifer A. Buxton and Carolyn A. Calisti; a sister, Theresa Bolkovac of Greensburg; and a brother, Peter Calisti and wife, Lily, of Delmont. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren. Friends were received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, Thursday and will be received there Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Elmer Reamer officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made to Westmoreland Hospice, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601.
