Uncle Al was a wonderful man who was always upbeat and positive. I'll always remember how he would tell stories about his service during WWII, after much pleading from me. I never recalled him saying that he was rewarded the Bronze Star, but that's the type of person he was. I still remember his distinctive laugh that would brighten the mood at the family get togethers we would have at our Aunt Ida's.
