Not sure what to say?

Dear Rich,

All of the Tuversons share your grief, Rich. We have spoken several times about your Dad's passing and recalled countless good times spent in Fenwood with you, Clare, and Al. I still remember long summer days spent in your pool, marathon games of kick the can, snowball fights, and the comradery we shared as kids in that neighborhood. Your mom and dad were always so generous and understanding. We wish you the best in this time of loss.

With love,
Eric Tuverson

My daughter Cindy got it right. The Canfield home was the best place in town to pass a weekend or an evening. Primarily due to being able to share Al's company. He was a good boss and a great human being. Our sympathy goes out to Rich, and the rest of the family. As an old Marine myself I am looking forward to serving with him again when I join the guard detachment in Heaven. Semper Fi Al!

My condolences to the Canfield family. My dad worked with Al in Old Saybrook and I grew up on the next block and went to school with Rich. Some of our best times in CT were spent at the Canfield home.

My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Rich, Carol and Family,
I know what a sad time this is for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm so glad Al hired me in 1976. He not only was my boss but more importantly I have been blessed all these years calling him friend. Such a loss for everyone. Al's quick wit and joviality made everyone happy. He will be sadly missed. Until we meet again, Al, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Love to you all.

Mr. Canfield,
Sir, I didn't know you but as a fellow Marine, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. It was the history and accomplishments that you and your fellow Marines did during WW II that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to.

Semper Fi Devil Dog!
Mike Casey USMC'85-'89
