Dear Mom,
I will never forget the night Bud brought me to your home for the very first time in Smithtown one late night after a date. There you & Dad stood in your PJ's and yet so welcoming! I think I fell in love with Dad before your son! What a sweet and caring person was Dad...always wanting THE BEST for Bud and I and our children... something tells me he still does.
Love, your Daughter-in-law

It was my great pleasure to get to know Deacon Al Carini during the time that he served the community at St George's in Scottsville. When we Dominicans started celebrating the Sunday Mass there back in February of 2003, Al made us all feel very welcome.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen."

Two of my happiest memories in life involved Al directly. When he baptised our daughter Maria and when he taught me at his home before being confirmed in the Chuch. His love of God and great sense of humour were known by all who met him, even briefly. My prayers to Rita and his entire family.
