I was sorry to learn about Thurston's death. He was a friend when I was serving as Minister of Education at First UMC, Charlotte, in the 1960s. He and I both had houses not far from each other at Lake Norman, and we had many happy times together there and at First Methodist in Charlotte. My wife and I also have plots at Forest Lawn West. May God's greatest comfort be with all the family during these days.
