Albert Patton Clark Jr.

I never had the priviledge to meet Major Albert Patton Clark Jr., however, I wish I would have had the opportunity to do so. After reading his obituary, I felt honored to have served in the USAF and to have worn the same uniform and yet, humbled to be in such company. Pat was one of the first fiction writers to join our La Dolce Vita literay salon and for three years Pat showed up every Monday night with a new chapter or story from his novel in progress, Last Wolf Home. He worked hard, wrote true, and gave us all valuable critiques and positive encouragement. We will dearly miss him and know that our lives are better for having known him. We are deeply grateful for his honorable and valiant service to our country.

I was a Wolf FAC at Ubon when Pat was there. He was a true warrior and fearless aviator. He was a legend among the pilots in SEA. He actually flew many more missions than the offical 435 when you consider that each FAC mission included 3 to 4 air refuelings and then a reentry into the combat theater.
I was not aware that he wrote a book - I will definitely get a copy.
