We are so sorry to hear of Al's death. We only heard your phone message today when we returned from a week of visiting family in Maryland and Virginia. I am adding a candle to this message because Al was truly a light in a world filled with so many kinds of darkness. Barbara and I are so grateful for his help in launching my teaching career. He has been a friend in the world, a friend in faith and a friend in deed. So many people were touched by his rock-solid faith even in adversity. He was an example for all of us. We will miss him.

Albert was such a big part of my childhood. I cherish the memories of the times I spent with the Colonna's growing up. They were all such wonderful people and I gained so much from spending time with them and the infinite kindness they showed me. Every weekend with Albert came "home" from Pgh., he'd bring me a treat.
