My wife and I will always cherish the memories of Al visiting McLain's Bakery to buy his beloved Cinnamon Rolls. We would share a few minutes talking about life and family...he was a good, good man! Rest in peace Al and God Bless your loving family.

Dear Darling Cousins, I was so sorry to hear of Unkie Al's passing. I was so grateful to be able to see him during his birthday party festivities. Unkie always had that "Darling Family" smile on his face, which was passed on to many of our family members. Growing up, I remember Unkie and dad always working at Old Hickory to make it fun for all of us, with boats, water skis, and water toys. We have many fond memories of family celebrations and holidays. Love to you all, Pat and Jeff

We at Cobalt Holdings, LLC in Sturgis, Michigan are pleased to know his son Bert through Rooster Rubber. In knowing Bert as being a good and honorable person, we are sure that his father Albert was instrumental in establishing the fine qualities Bert has. We are sure that he will missed. As we read the obit, we can see that he was a great man. Our thoughts are with Bert, and the rest of the family.

So sorry I can't be there to say goodbye to Al. I will always have such fond memories of the neighbors and friends and particularly summers at Old Hickory. You guys became part of the 71st Street family. Mom and Dad had such fun with your parents. Remember my dad and Nancy playing gin? Man, they had fun. Hugs to you all.
