Albert Del Real "Al passed away on January 15, 2018. Al wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors' orders and raising hell for six decades. Although he had many amazing characteristics, his sense of humor was one of his best attributes. His clever and witty ways were his superpower which he used to instantly win over any crowd making him the life of the party. Al was fearless and enjoyed a life of adventure. He was the type of guy you just couldn't put in a box... that's why we're cremating him! If you knew Al well, you would know that he lived a life full of laughter which often included inappropriate jokes. But as Al would say. "all joking aside" and "to make a long story longer"...
Albert Del Real was born on December 24th, 1957 to Roberto & Jennie Del Real Sr. He was one of six kids and the baby boy of the family. His siblings would tell you he was a bit of a troublemaker and was always getting into something. Al leaves this world ahead of his wife Valerie Del Real (his middle-school sweetheart) whom he spent 45 years of his life with. He also travels ahead of his two daughters Jenni & Patty and son Timothy. He was loved by his six grandchildren who knew him as "Funny Grandpa" and will always cherish his silly songs and funny sayings like " wocka, wocka, wocka."Al had may nieces and nephews and not only cared deeply for them but for their children as well. Al brought joy and laughter to his life and made each event and holiday a memorable one.
Being an entrepreneur, Al loved being " The Boss." He met man;y people and serviced the Southern California area for over forty years providing commercial glass. Everyone knew Al as the "Glass Guy" and his customers easily become his friends. while many people worked for or with Al throughout his career, he was blessed to have Steve(whom he loved as his brother) by his side form the very beginning and his nephew Marco who also has been a key part of his life and his business. Along with taking care of his immediate family, Al had a heart that was bigger than imaginable. He was definitely the Robin Hood of Los Angeles! His home was always open to family and friends in need. There wasn't a time that his home was ever without a friend, an extended family member or someone that just needed time to get on their feet. Al was the one that everyone came to when they had a problem or needed help. He would always find a way; to support anyone with whatever situation they were in, even if it cost him his last dime. He was the guy that truly put everyone's needs before his own. While a life of sixty years can't be summed up in a few paragraphs, if he is remembered for anything, it should be for the ways in which he truly card and provide for everyone he could.
However, he wouldn't want you to forget a few of his favorite things such as his extreme love and passion for cars, and the Ram's(no matter how may times they lost), camping, motorcycle riding, and fishing. He also loved to cook and BBQ for all of his orange rice. A cold beer or strong drink was always close by as well. Al loved to surround himself with family, friends, good times and fun. He asked that you stop by and re-tell the stories he can no longer tell and share his legacy with a few tears and a lot of laughter.
