Not sure what to say?

What an awesome guy Dr. Al Eble was! I will miss running into him at the Country Library and catching up. I learned so much from him in my years as one of his independent study students and will greatly miss his twinkling blue eyes and ornery grin. He gave me a great deal of support and helped me gain confidence in my abilities. My thoughts are with his family.

I hope the Biology Alumni will honor his memory by supporting the Biology Department Eble Scholarship Fund.

Al was a true renaissance man, adapt at quoting a sonnet or identifying a clam genus. He carried himself with a calm dignity, yet the twinkle in his eye gave away his dry humor. I always enjoyed his company, and never failed to come away with the feeling I had learned something. The world is a poorer place without Al Eble in it.

Dear Eble Family,

My mother informs me that Mr. Eble has passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. My very earliest memory of the Eble family moving into the old neighborhood is that of being awed by meeting a real college professor. As just a young girl at the time, I had not yet been out and about much in the world and had not had an occasion to meet a person of such notable accomplishment. But it didn’t take long to realize that this professor was, after all, just a really nice,...

Some of the lessons I learned from Dr. Eble are still fresh in my mind as the day he taught them. He was a wonderful educator and a fine gentleman. His loss is a great loss to not only to your family but to those whose lives he touched. My deepest sympathies on your loss

The Eble Family,

My deepest condolences on the passing of "Big Al". It always was a true pleasure to sit and listen to his life stories and golf experiences. My mother was very fond of him and enjoyed time spent at our house with Tazz, Thor and Arnie. He most certainly will be missed.

I was a student at Trenton State College in the late 80's. My absolute favorite professor was Dr. Al Eble. He was an excellent teacher and he made coming to class and lab interesting and fun. He was always quick with a joke and made everyone smile (and some of them blush :-). He was very generous with his time and always took a great interest in his students lives; past, present, and future. He was a great inspiration to the many students that loved him and he will be greatly missed. I...

Dear Al Eble Family,

As Director of Research Grants at The College of New Jersey, I had the pleasure and benefit of working with Al for many years. He was an outstanding and generous person as well as a meticulous researcher. Many of us at the college, including President Brower and Vice President Forcina also benefitted from Al's membership in Copper Hill Country Club. In my 35 years of service as a faculty member and administer at The College of New Jersey, I found Al to be a very...
