Not sure what to say?

I so appreciated reading again Albert's obituary. Honoring my Mother on her recent birthday, I reflected on many memories and among them her friendship with Albert as young friends on 15th Street that they maintained until her death in 2010. Seeing Albert's picture looking so sharp in his golf hat made me think of my 96 year old father-law who still looks so sharp in his golf hat. So glad I could reflect again on Albert's legacy as a husband, teacher, and devoted friend.

Thank you for the lovely reminder of Albert, my Mother, Mary Jane Grimald's life long friend. I was also happy to see again his picture looking so stylish and happy. Conversations with him after my Mother's death in 2010 were comforting to me. We also both shared our love of teaching. What I wrote soon after Albert died brought back wonderful memories of him and my parents and the importance of loyal friendships. Thank you for this opportunity to reflect on Albert's beautiful life.

I was in his first class that he taught at Central Jr High. When I saw him at a Doctor's office that I was working at, some 40 plus years ago, he remembered my name. He told me that he always remembered his first class. We would talk about some of my classmates whom he kept in contact with. I also would see he and Jean at Bill Knapps. He was a very special teacher and will be missed.

Al was a wonderful, kind, interesting, loving man. I'll miss our visits. I'm a better person for knowing him, and I'm so happy for him, reunited with his wife, for he missed her dearly.
May God bless his family and friends as they grieve. He will be missed by many.

My Mother, Mary Jane Grimaldi, was a friend of Albert back on 15th Street in Saginaw where their families lived. Mom and Albert shared fond memories of playing baseball in the street. They continued their friendship their entire lives. Albert even attended my Mom's 90th birthday party in January, 2010 before she died in March of that same year. I sent him a picture of the two of them at the party and he and I had a few phone conversations after she passed. He was always so kind and...

My Mother, Mary Jane Grimaldi, knew Albert from their families living on 15th Street. Mom and Albert played baseball in the streets. They stayed in close contact all of their lives. Albert was a guest at my Mom's 90th Birthday Party in January of 2010. Mary Jane died March of that year. I talked to Albert on the phone a few times after her passing. He was always so kind and interesting to talk to. He shared some funny stories about my Mom and Dad. I was saddened to hear that he died...

Mr. Fetting was one of my favorite teachers. He helped me get through Chemistry, a difficult subject for me. I'll always remember his kind & friendly smile. Such an intelligent & caring man.

I remember the fettings from bill knapps they would come in everyday to eat. They were the most adorable couple so friendly and great to be around. They will be missed.

I knew the Mr. and Mrs. Fetting from Bill Knapp's Restaurant and they were such great people! Kind and smart. He was a great man and I am happy I knew him. I am glad he and Jean are together again~Jennifer Rousseau-Egbert
