Not sure what to say?

Dear Foster family,
So sorry to hear of the lost of Mr. Foster. All my condolences are with the family. Your family will stay in my prayers. May your family gain comfort from the promise given to you at John 5:28, 29.
Sincerely,
The Mayfield family

A Big heart, a Big smile and always a Big hearty welcome....... that's 'Big Al' !
It was my pleasure to have known Al over the years, not only was he a teacher in the classroom, but an educator in life, and as an 'Uncle Al', a caring family man and fond memories.
I extend my sympathy to Pat and the entire Foster Family,

Pat,Kathy,Albert,Sonya&Joann
Saddened to hear the news of Big Al's passing.Think back fondly on the many trips to LBI, highlighted by a stop at the farm market to see uncle Al. Holiday gatherings at Benner's wouldn't have been the same without an after dinner conversation w/ Al. Always looked forward to those with much anticipation.RIP Big Al, your old Pal Tedd

Mr. Foster was one of those rare teachers/educators who stuck with you. I truly think he is the one who gave me the deep love of books I have to this day. And I always looked forward to visiting the market on LBI on vacation every summer. It is a rare thing for a student to seek out a teacher out of school, but I always looked forward to a hello each August. He will be truly missed

To the family:
Even though I cannot remember I saw Mr. Foster (perhaps it was the late 1970s), I was saddened to hear this news. I will always remember Mr. Foster as a role model of a teacher -- caring, thoughtful and passionate. As a student, I will remember him telling me about Bobby Thompson's home run in 1951. I didn't get the significance until years later. As I reflect on his passing and the beginning of my own teaching career, I remember the words of Henry Brooks Adams -- "A...

Teachers stay with us forever. Mr. Foster was a wonderful teacher who taught by example. His love of books is to be admired. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and may you find comfort in knowing his knowledge is passed on to our children.

I remember spending many hours in the Holland School library. I was particularly fond of one particular book about the great racehorse, Man O War. I don't know how many times I took that book out of the library! Mr. Foster was always very patient and nice to all of the students. Sorry for your loss.
