Dear Rhoda and Michelle,

I am very sad to see this. like many of his students, I recognize him as my most influential teacher. He made his classes fun and he treated his students with respect and made them feel like important, capable & special people. I am thankful that when I went to Syracuse in August 2010, i had the honor to visit with Mr. Freedman--a visit arranged by my Dad who knew how much he meant to me. My heart goes out to Mrs. Freedman, his daughter, and family for their loss of such a special person, a...

Our Condolences, on behalf of my Mother ,Janice Burgess who also worked in the District..I am sure Mom would send her Sympathy, if she could, she is in University Hospital fighting bladder Cancer.I am sorry for your loss--Prayers and thoughts to the Freedman family! Ednalynn Burgess-Kernes

mr freedman was the best teacher i had.sorry about your loss.

I delivered papers for Mr. Freedman as a boy, even taking over his whole distribution at times while he was on vacation (roles I inherited from my brother and sister!). He was a good man, and it was one of my earliest lessons in responsibility managing those routes. At times I thought he probably lost more time than he saved, but I think he enjoyed giving young people opportunities. I was very sad to hear of his passing, but glad to see so many fond remembrances.

he was great i loved being in his class .he always clam and loved the news paper .

Mr. Freedman was my 6th grade teacher at Dr. Weeks school many, many years ago. He was a wonderful teacher. My sympathy goes out to his family. God Bless
