Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. I just learned of Butch's passing last week. I was shocked. He and I became friends back in his soft ball and Candle Light days. We had some good times. I guess it was over a year since I talked to him. Prayers.

Butch and I were friends in high school, I loved when he would drop by my place to work on my 57 Chevy. I lost touch with him after we graduated but I never forgot the fun we had. Recently we became friends on Facebook, I am glad we had some time to catch up on time lost. I will miss him and the time we had in 1968.

Butch was a regular at 3Js. We would look for him every morning. He sat at the counter and would have a fruit and yogurt parfait. He had Steve (NK) make him a hat that had "3Js" on it and he proudly wore it all over town. We had a lot of good conversations together. He will be missed.

I didn't know Butch but have met Tom through Team in Training. I am sorry for your family's loss.

Butch and I have known each other since high school, but in the last 5 years we had become very good friends. I will miss our times sitting around and talking about crazy things we did in school and since school. He would come to listen to Jere Hetrick and I play music and during the last few years he would come out to listen to Leanne and I in Autumn Brew. We would try to learn songs that he liked so that we could play them for him...particularly Bob Dylan songs. Butch knew a lot of...

Butch considered me one of his best female friends and that was a compliment to me. We graduated together and only became friends in our 30's and since then we became coffee buddies and talked and met here and there. He particularly loved when I would surprise him with a classmate he did not see since school. Butch loved Palmyra and all that it stood for. I will sorely miss his friendship. Jeanne and Tom remember this: When you are sorrowful-look again into your heart, and you will see...

I was sorry to learn of Butch's passing from this glorious earth. He was always very friendly & a nice guy. I graduated with him from PHS & knew him from playing softball @ Seltzer's field. With deepest sympathy to Jeanne & Tom.

Butch was a coffee lover and was often seen at 3J's in Palmyra. Sorry for your loss.

We only knew Butch for a short time, but we feel he was a great friend
