Not sure what to say?

Dear Gentner Family: I was sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. When I was starting out at Goldsmith Company Dad sent me to see Mr. Gentner at the Mallory. Even though I was a fresh faced kid your Dad was gracious with his time and I had many subsequent meetings with him over the years- he was tough but fair and taught me a fair bit about customer service. Our Dad's were cut from the same cloth and I do miss that generation. I very much look forward to running into you all at some point....

I delivered the mail to the Gentners for 8 years beginning in 1996. They were always nice, friendly, happy.....both a class act. I have fond memories of our daily conversations and interactions.....even giving me shelter when my vehicle broke down. I was thinking of Al the other day and wondering how he was doing. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Al Gentner,an extraordinarily intelligent gentleman, with a loving heart, a wonderful sense of humor and a generous spirit! We are grateful and blessed to have known him, and loved him,and welcomed into his family.
Al will always be in our hearts, and our memories.
The Angrisano Family

We very much enjoyed Mr. Gentner as our neighbor for many years. He always had a smile on his face and we looked forward to seeing him on his daily walks. He will be missed by all. Please know our thoughts are with all of you.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr.Gentner. I had the privilege to work at the beautiful Mallory hotel for four years. I would still be working there had Mr. G not sold the hotel. He was truly a class act. Pure gentleman. The absolute nicest employer I have ever had. He was very kind and generous and also was on a first name basis with his employees. He was a classy man just as the Mallory that he so adored! It truly was an end of an "era" as described by many when the beautiful...

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Gentner at his hotel properties for many years. I enjoyed his wit and respected his work ethic. He will be greatly missed.

Just wonderful wonderful memories of a true gentleman. Al gave his "all" to SWHRL as well as being a generous supporter of Lincoln H.S. rummage sale. Thanks Al,I'll miss you.

Dearest Gentners,
Your dad was the first president of the Quarterly Club ... 1955, a dance club formed to provide an affordable venue for young married couples four times yearly. This meant that your mom was the co-president! Many Quarterly Club parties and U of O parties began in the "Gentner Rotunda" as attendees dubbed your entry hall. Your dad attended a Quarterly Club party two years ago and regaled all with great stories. The Club is going strong and held a dinner dance April...

Alan and Ann Robson wish to say how glad they were we saw him in October. We were very fond of him and happy he was our daughter's father in law!
