Albert Gillis

As one of the first children, starting in 1948, to benefit from UT's wonderful Junior String Project, I well remember Mr. Gillis and the many orchestra rehearsals under his baton. Because of his unforgettable influence, classical music became, and still is, one of the most important parts of my life. He was impressive (and to a little girl, sometimes even awesome and scarey).
