Albert W. Hamilton, 85, of Tri-City Rd. died Monday June 9, 2003 at the Dover Rehabilitation and Living Center following a long illness.
He was born July 19, 1917 in Salem, MA the son of Elmer and Nellie (Alberts-Keller) Hamilton and had lived in Florida prior to moving here.
Albert was retired from Nissan Bakery where he worked in the Shipping-Receiving Department.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, having been stationed at Quadalcanal.
He was a member of the Dover Post #4, D.A.V.
While in Florida, he sang in the choir at Blessed Trinity Church, St. Petersburg.
Members of his family include his wife, Barbara A. (Matthews) Hamilton, his sons, Wayne Hamilton of Port Charlotte, FL., and Dana Hamilton of Boxford, MA, his step-sons, Dean Karlson of Seabrook, NH, Matthew Karlson of Portsmouth, NH and Aaron Karlson of Exeter, NH, his step-daughters, Suzanne Karlson of Sunapee, NH and Janet Buttermark of Waterboro, ME, a brother, Robert Hamilton, of Hamilton, MA and a sister, Florence Hamilton of Salem, MA.
15 grandchildren also survive him.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday June 13, 2003 at 11:00AM in St. Charles Church, Central Ave. Dover, NH with Rev. Bartholemew Leon, O.S.B. as celebrant.
Private burial services will be held in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers, MA.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave. Dover, NH

Though we did not know Albert, we extend our prayers and sympathy to his family. Our daughter-in-law, Lee MacWilliams, is the step daughter of his brother Robert Hamilton.
