Al and I knew each other as undergrads at ND and all through grad school. We received our PhDs consecutively from Fr. Ted in 1967 and he was the best man in our wedding. I always remember his great sense of humor. May he rest in peace. Bob and Paula Henry

As undergraduates at the University of Notre Dame, Al and I had a lot of fun working together as news announcers on WSND, the student radio station. I will always remember him as a fine fellow. May he rest in peace.

Al was my college roommate and close friend through graduate school. I was shocked and saddened by the news of his death. He was a vigorous spirit, dedicated scholar, and good person.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow attendee and the family at this time. Attendees are recognized on the theory "if it's important to some to mention in an obit, then we can spare a few prayers". Perhaps, the time at MC was both formative and important to our comrade.
