This is the first Wednesday in 5 years that I did not board a bus to visit Al. After Brenda's years of typing, I typed some more, and edited Al's memoir, which can be found in the Bellingham Public Library in the local history section. It has a lib. of congress number, and is in the Geology Library of the U. of Wisconsin. This is an empty Wednesday, Al. Thank you for the beautiful friendship.

I worked for Al from 1998 until the completed memoir was bound. :). I did almost all of his typing and was so blessed by the things I learned from the many passions he wrote about. He was in his 70s and still heaving that boat up on that little red truck to go up into the mountains to float on lakes and identify aquatic plants and bring them back for me to type. Spell check was of no help to me!
