Not sure what to say?

Bea - your mom and dad, Al, were very nice neighbors when we lived on South Edison years ago. I remember your sister Suzanne's children and ours enjoyed playing together and the fun they had. Gordie and I send our condolence to you and your family for your recent losses.

Al Henning was an accomplished cook and gracious host. He and Gert had evening soirrees of musicians, and the food and talk at the dinner table was always facinating. Al was a friend and champion of many black artists. He will be missed.

I remember Al from when I was a little girl & he worked in his shop in Plato Center. My dad was Jerry Seyller, Ed Seyller was my grandfather - they owned the building he worked in & we lived next door. I'm sure we were a nuisance, but he never lost his patience with us & always explained what he was doing. I was always amazed at how his machines worked & all the metal shavings on the floor around his feet. He was a great man - I'm sure you will miss him very much.
