Not sure what to say?

I knew Al as a classmate at Napoleon High School. After class, I would often walk over to his house down the road and we would shoot baskets in front of the garage. He was a very active guy, with a vivacious personality and always a ready smile. Unable to participate directly in competitive sports, he showed real interest and could often be found up on the catwalk keeping score for the players down below. He is the last of our class (1961) I heard anything from, and this message tells you I...

Al was a great and kind friend to my dad Mike. I´m sure my dad was waiting to welcome him to the poker game in the sky! Rest in peace, Al love, Lucas and family

I had the pleasure of getting to know Al and Helen during my years of working at the building they lived in. Al was always kind, funny, and willing to stop by and have a good conversation. I'm sad to hear of his passing and am sending condolences to you, Helen.

Dear Helen and Anna, what an enormous loss for both of you! Al was and will always be completely one of a kind. I am so grateful to have known him through both of you. I´ve light a candle in our fireplace for the three of you. Please stay in touch as you´re able. I would love to know about the service coming up later on.Keep breathing. You are both strong, wonderful courageous women. Love, Marcia

Helen and I met as fellow Spanish teachers in the 70´s and when she started working at Omark, she helped husband Brad get a job there. We loved running into Helen and Al at events. He has always been an inspiration. A good man and a kind soul. We both send our condolences to Helen and the family.

I just found out about Al´s death. We worked together for a number of years. And, I was just thinking about him a few weeks ago. I remember him as a very warm individual who was devoted to and very much in love with his wife and daughter. I will always remember his smile and kindness. A life well lived. Aliza Bethlahmy

Al was married to Helen, a lifetime friend of mine. I got to know him through her many wonderful stories, and adventures. When I got to meet him, I knew he was exactly the treasure she spoke of so often. He was delightful, had a career of helping others, so positive, humorous, and adored Helen, and their family. He was the best a person could be. I am there for Helen, always. Gentle hugs and love. Charlie

I met Al at the Metro Y where we worked out in the weight room. Our friendship continued at the Leftness gym in the Pearl. Al was always had an upbeat outlook on life. He was really proud of his family. Al will definitely be missed but never forgotten. May the Good Lord provide love and comfort to Al's family.

I'm so glad to read about Al's life. It was a privilege to have known him. My most heartfelt condolences to Helen, Anna, and all the family.
