We are so sorry for your loss! Laurie and Dave Ross

Al my dear friend, who kind of took me under his wing in 1966 when I started on the Cleveland Heights Police! His character was always beyond aproach! I tried calling him at least once biweekly! He always was so proud of my rising thru the ranks and then be appointed Chief of Police for the Chagrin Falls Police Department! He was the one I was most proud of! A true War Hero ! He is now with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Love and Miss you! Lester LaGatta

I'm sorry I cannot make calling hours today. I served with Al @ CHPD from when I was hired in 1977 until his retirement. He also hired me to work @ Heinen's part time. We conversed both on Facebook and the occasional phone call. The last one was a few months ago. I'm sorry for your loss. Semper Fi my Friend. RIP

We remember Al so fondly from all of our years living on Summit Lane. Our older son interviewed Al as a veteran for the Brady Middle School Veteran's Day program. We appreciated that! Al always had a twinkle in his eye and he was so kind to everybody. He was a big presence and told great stories. Al and Amalia's house was always one of the most beautifully kept on the cul-de-sac. We are sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the family. I remember Officer Kaminsky from his days as the Saturday Security Guard at the Taylor Rd Heinen´s store. My parents preferred that store even though the Green Rd store was closer. Officer Kaminsky was a handsome figure in police uniform with a smile and an affable personality. May he rest in peace and eternal light shine upon him.

May God provide strength and comfort to your family and remember love never ends.

Thank you for your very brave service to our country ! God bless you
