Not sure what to say?

I remember Fr Al, my cousin, from the family gatherings at Uncle Dick Casenhiser's house back in the fifties. There were so many cousins back then thanks to the Kunkels, Casenhisers, and O'Sheas. Fr. Al's demeanor was always calm and relaxed, and this, combined with his faith, enabled him to connect to so many of us that may have been lost, disconnected, or without hope, which was the essence of his mission here.

Requiestat in Pacem

The memory of you will shine in my heart forever.

Dear Fr. Kunkel,
You did a Great job for the Lord here on earth. As my dad always said, you were a Priest's priest. May you rest in peace.

Rest in Peace Father. Heaven is a better place with you being there now.

Fr. Kunkel made a difference in my life and to this day, I appreciate his patience, understanding and friendship in leading me back to Christ.

I'll always remember you Father Kunkel...
You are now in His hands and may Eternal Rest shine upon you.

I always love Father Kunkel I had him as a priest at Leanora Hall in the sixties and also at Sacred Heart in Barberton and then he would temporarily fill in at st. John's on Brown St. He was such a devout priest and always had a moment to talk to you and cheer you up if you were down!

I remember Fr. Kunkel as a kind and gentle man. I had the honor of serving mass with him during his tenure at St. Boniface and remember how well liked he was by the parish community. Fr. Kunkel was a lead priest for my sacrament of holy communion at St. Boniface. Many good memories of Father, may you rest in God's hands.

My mother Rose always thought the world of Father Kunkel and I know she has been praying for him.
