Not sure what to say?

Great military man, Great friend. Sleep well my friend.

Good night Al; we'll rejoice when we again meet in heaven! RIP my friend.

another masters. how much I miss Al&Ann and Nancy & Joe Dubeau!! We always had a wonderful week!!!

Al and Ann were like part of my family, dear friends of my Dad's (they're partying in Heaven right now -- with the whole Alaska crowd!). I called Al and Annie my adopted Godparents! They invited me to their family Thanksgiving dinner when I was in training at Sheppard AFB, and Al was a special guest at my Squadron Change of Command Ceremony at Barksdale a few years ago. He always sent birthday cards to my children. We will all miss him dearly and are lucky to have been part of his life.

Dave, if your dad was anything like you, he was one fantastic gentleman. I truly missed out in not meeting him on this side of Heaven. You and your family remain in our prayers.

My dad and I send our deepest condolences to the Leferink family. Al flew with my dad (col George Savage) on B-36 missions and became a lifelone friend and dedicated member to their luncheon club (where I got to know Al). Al was a precious man and I was always impressed he always called me by my first name. He took note in people and loved life. God love and bless him.

All those Savage's

Col. Al Leferink and my late dad, Lt. Col Bugs Warner, were lifelong Air Force friends. I have known and seen Al for many years at my parents' home and at Air Force parties. Al was such a kind and funny man! He will be missed. He continued taking my brother, Brant, to the AF guys "lunch bunch" after our dad passed away. He certainly was a patriot in every sense of the word! My prayers are with the family at this time. May GOD comfort you and bring you the peace that surpasses all understanding.

David and family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We loved your Dad and Mom and know how very special they were to Joe & Nancy. I especially loved his hardy laugh.
May you find a special kind of peace in your wonderful memories.
