Ole Berty-Bert,

It has been one long year.

I know I'm not the only one who has picked up their cell phone and started to dial your number, only to realize that they lost thier #1 go-to guy. It's just not as fun trying out the random obvious prank call on anyone else just for laughs.

The world is a pretty boring place without you around.

Al,
I will never forget many of our good times together. Quite honestly, you were one of the funniest people I've ever met. I admired your ability to make people smile as well as your kind heartedness. You will never be forgotten, my friend. May the Grace of God shine down on your family and friends who anxiously await to be with you again.

Mary Kay and Lucas,

I don't even know where to start.I feel so lost right now.I'm just in shock, and I'm so sorry I wasn't here for you and little Lucas. There aren't enough words to express how I feel about the loss of your only child, and I will be there for you.I know what it is like to lose a child and there is nothing like it. Albert was a wonderful person and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.I'm glad I had the pleasure of knowing him.
We don't understand why bad things happen to good people, but I know you have to have faith as I do that you will see him again.I know from experience that I have had to turn to God for the strength to keep going and you will need that. Please don't be afraid to ask him, He will help you and so will I. Lucas will give you strength because Albert lives in his son and in your heart.I'll be thinking of you, and praying for you both.

Love you, Kimberly & Jose

Mary Kay and Lucas,
Al will be sorely missed by many. He was such a good man, and had such a strong heart. My heart aches for you two. I will never forget Al, and he was a very dear friend to me for such a long time. Words really can't express the sadness I feel for all of our loss. But most of all my prayers are with you and Lucas. As Lucas grows up, I look forward to sharing with him some of the many memories I have of Al. He will never be forgotten.

Mary Kay and Lucas,
I can't begin to express my sorrow about losing Albert. I've never known anyone who could make me smile and laugh so much. I will always have a special place in my heart for all the memories we have shared. I will remember him fondly and miss him dearly.
Lucas, I feel so very lucky to know you and to have been close friends with your father. Rest assured, your father loved you more than anything in this world.
God bless.

Mary Kay & Lucas,

I can't think of a single person who had met Al and not loved him. He was a wonderful person and the news of his passing has saddened everyone.

He will never be forgotten and there are so many people ready to share our "Al stories" with Lucas whenever he is ready.

My prayers are with you both,

Mary Kay and Lucas,
I was so sorry to hear about Al. My son, Aaron has been friends with Al for many years. I will always remember Al as such a sweet and kind guy. He loved you so much Lucas. You meant everything to him. I know you will miss him terribly but you have your grandma as a great reminder of your dad. I know you will always cherish the great memories you shared with your dad. You're in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all in your time of great loss.

Mary Kay & Lucas,

I am so, so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Al and will always remember him as the fun, wild & witty guy that we all knew & loved. Fortunately for me, I also had the chance to get to know him even better as an adult. My fondest memories of Al will always be of him as a father to Lucas. He was such an inspiration, had such a great outlook of life & parenting. I loved to listen to him talk about how much joy Lucas brought him & how the times he spent playing Lego's going to the park and watching cartoons with his son were so precious to him. He was truly one of a kind & will NEVER be forgotten.

I will be holding you close in prayer & thought.

Mary Kay and Lucas,

Words cannot convey how much Al meant to me, my family, and everyone whose lives he touched. Nothing could ever replace the unconditional friendship and endless laughter that we all enjoyed from having known him. My deepest of sympathy to you and Lucas during this extremely trying time.

Al will never be forgotten, and will always have the starring role in some of the greatest times of my life. I'll miss him deeply for the rest of my days.

Lucas, buddy, your dad was a great man. Above all, you should know that you meant the world to him. And he meant the world to all of us.

Mary Kay & Lucas,

Thank you for sharing Albert. I always enjoyed seeing him and teasing Al in trying to get him to come to church with me to play basketball. I'm sorry we were never able to play ball together. Please know you are in our prayers.
God Bless,

Todd & Lori Stearns
