Then Captain McCarthy was my CO in EW Co. 2nd Radio Bn circa late 1964/early 1965. Fine Marine officer and very fair. I was his company clerk for a short period. RIP, Skipper

Dear Family and Friends of Al, It is with great sadness that I learned of Al's passing. He and I were good friends when we worked together at 2d Radio Bn in the mid 60's. Al was not only brilliant in his Marine Corps endeavors but extremely friendy and always full of fun. One instance I especially recall was when Al helped me move an old upright piano.
