Not sure what to say?

Al was a good friend and a great guy. He was of one of our first friends ten years ago when we moved to Newport.
John and I always stopped over to see Al when we were in Fortescue. He came to my house parties and even watched our horse for us when we went away a few years back. Al came on my radio show and spoke about his book and his reels. He was such a good friend. We will miss him so much. I was so shocked to hear of his passing.
My condolences to his family. It will not be the...

Sincere sympathy to the entire family. I knew Al from the local flea market. A great kind man and we always talked about Antiques. Will be missed by many.

So saddened by the passing of your Dad. Al was a great guy in so many different ways and such a real "character". My friend Tom Mannering said "we'll never see another one like him." How true! I will try to make it to the cemetery I live pretty close to it.

Al was the first resident of Fortescue that I met after Hurricane Sandy while working for the state. We shared some heartfelt conversation and an immediate friendship developed. I looked for him on each visit and toured the "museum" on several occassions. I even brought my kids back for a tour and nature walk on the beach. He pointed out artifacts and taught us all we needed to know about horseshoe crabs. My kids loved him. Al was a one of a kind with a very warm and generous heart. I...

Syboll Amy and all the Munger family,
It'seems an end of an Era for Fortescue with the passing of Al. Who could step in those shoes?!! He was a man of many faces and characters, he could make you laugh, cry and groan all at once!!!!!!! As my neighbor Jack said "Who is gonna ride in the parade boat on the 4th of July?!!" I am so sorry for your loss.
Sherry of Fortescue

I offer my deepest condolences to Al's family.

I will always remember Al's patriotism and love for America. He loved people too and was always willing to spend time chatting about current events, fishing, or the newest item he acquired at the flea market.

Al was always cheerful. He never said 'bye, he said "Merry Christmas" instead. He will be missed by many.

Sincerely,
Mike (grass cutter)

You were such a good neighbor and we will miss you.

Our deepest sympathy to the Munger family. Al's kind and happy soul was clear to see all the time. Al's home visits always took hours and were always the best part of the weekend. I remember Al saying he lived in Paradise. He was right Fortescue is Paradise, a small community, a village with very kind people. Al's kind soul and happy ways have touched so many people he is truly in Paradise now. Fortescue will not be the same. We will see you again one day my friend!

Merry Christmas Uncle Al. You will be missed.
